How To See Germs Spread Experiment

This experiment demonstrates just how quickly and easily germs can spread through everyday interactions. Using GloGerm, a fluorescent substance that simulates germs, you can see the invisible transfer that happens every time we touch surfaces, shake hands, or handle shared objects.

What You Will See

The video shows participants applying GloGerm to their hands, then going about normal activities: shaking hands, touching door handles, using phones, and preparing food. Under UV light, the fluorescent traces reveal a shocking web of contamination that would otherwise be completely invisible.

Try It Yourself

All you need is:

• A bottle of GloGerm Gel or Oil
• A UV flashlight (included in all our kits)
• A group of willing participants

Apply GloGerm to one person's hands, let the group interact naturally for 5-10 minutes, then turn off the lights and shine the UV lamp. The results speak for themselves.
